Even if the vehicle passes the bulb test, there may be cases where the MIL won’t work properly
with the engine running. The inspection system will ask the vehicle computer if it has commanded the MIL ON. If the software determines that the MIL should be on, but it is off, the vehicle fails the emissions part of the test. |
