Gathering Vehicle Information

In order to determine what communication protocol is needed for the vehicle the
Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) must be entered. The VIN can be found as shown.
Either enter the VIN manually by pressing the "Enter
VIN Manually" button or use the barcode scanner.

There will be a beep when the scanner reads the VIN
number. Move the scanner light
over the bar code until you hear the beep and see
the VIN on the screen:

If the barcode is worn or the scanner doesn't pick up the VIN, then click on the
"Enter VIN Manually" button and a touch screen keyboard will appear for you to use
to enter the VIN. Once the
VIN is entered the kiosk will automatically continue to the next step. |
